Dr. Bryce is the first fellowship-trained cardiac electrophysiologist
in Lake and Sumter Counties, and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment
of heart rhythm disorders and related conditions.
He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and
internal medicine, is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology
(FACC), and is a member of the North American Society of Pacing and
Electrophysiology.
As an electrophysiologist, he has a particular interest
in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, implantation
of permanent pacemakers, internal cardiac defibrillators and bi-ventricular
devices for cardiac resynchronization therapy in patients with severe
heart failure.
Dr. Bryce’s most significant contribution to
the medical literature was his review article in “Evolving Indications
for Permanent Pacemakers” published in The Annals of Internal
Medicine in June 2001.
Dr. Bryce performed the first biventricular
device implantation (August 2002), first Electrophysiology (EP) Study
(November 2002) and first Cardiac Ablation (January 2004) in Lake and
Sumter Counties. He also performed the first AICD implantation at Florida
Hospital Waterman in August 2002.
